That jolt of energy you feel after having a cup of coffee is the direct result of catecholamines being released into your body.
The different stimulants contained within coffee stimulate your adrenal glands and make them secrete very large amounts of catecholamines which include adrenaline, noradrenaline and epinephrine.
Now the good news here is that if you’re trying to lose leg fat these catecholamines can work for you because they allow you to break down a larger amount of fatty acids and it also decreases your levels of hunger.
Specifically, they will do the following:
- Increase energy mobilization such as fatty acids.
- Increase your overall levels of alertness.
- Maximize blood flow within your body.
- Allow you to produce more power and speed.
As you can see catecholamines do a lot of different things in your body which are going to be extremely conducive to losing large amounts of leg fat in a short amount of time.
Even better, you can position your intake of catecholamines in such a way that it becomes infinitely easier for you to tolerate more aggressive dieting.
And I do not recommend extremely aggressive dieting unless you absolutely need to lose weight for a specific event.
Now if you are looking at a deadline and you need to lose a lot of thigh fat or leg fat for an upcoming pool party, for example, then catecholamines can help you tolerate a more aggressive diet that is lower in carbohydrates and calories.
So what can you do to increase your output of catecholamines so you can tolerate a more aggressive diet or simply have a more productive workout?
There are two main things you can do here:
- Take a natural stimulant like caffeine.
- Use your mind.
By far, it is much easier to take a simple supplement like pure caffeine if you want to instantly increase the amount of catecholamines in your body. So if you need to take your workout to the next level or if you simply want to be able to tolerate a low carbohydrate plan experiment with natural stimulants like caffeine or loose leaf teas.
